Webometric Analysis of Selected State Health Websites in India: An Evaluative Study

Abstract

 Websites are the important gateway of information for any kind of institutions or organizations and play an important role in dissemination of information. In the online environment Web Impact Factor (WIF), Search Engine Optimization (SEO) ranking improve the visibility of a website’s presence. The present study focuses on the WIFs of the State Health websites in India, Calculating three types of Web Impact factors, total number of WebPages, Domain Authority, Page Authority, Domain extensions, Page Size, Load Time, Back Links, Internal and External links and based on that to calculate the Web Impact Factors and to rank them.
