Abstract

The Arab and Islamic conquests rested on a set of intellectual roots, both of which are Qur’anic and narrative, and the purpose of these two conquests, in any case, was to build legal foundations in the light of which they could legitimize the mentioned conquests. In constructing it, they relied on a selection of noble Qur’anic verses that were closely related to specific circumstances and cases and were not suitable for being general rules that must be followed in a time and place
