Abstract

As preterm birth is considered when a baby born before the 37th week of pregnancy.1 It is classified as extremely preterm (<28 weeks), very preterm (28-32 weeks), moderate preterm (32 to 34 weeks) and late preterm (34-37 weeks).  Annually, worldwide, around 15 million babies are born preterm, which means that preterm birth rates are around 11%. 2
