Abstract

Background and aim: the purpose of present study was evaluation of the relationship between vital signs and level of consciousness in patients with COVID-19 with mortality rate.

Method: In present study based on PRISMA guidelines, vital signs in patients with COVID-19 in all articles in this case were reviewed between January 2019 and March 2022. For this purpose, articles published in international databases and PubMed, Scopus, Science Direct, Embase were reviewed and Google Scholar search engine was used. Used PECO strategy to answer the research questions. Data analysis was performed using STATA.V16 software.

Result: In the initial search, 241 studies were identified; the full text of 63 articles was reviewed; finally eleven articles entered the analysis. Mean differences of Heart rate, Body temperature and Systolic blood pressure between groups was 2.20 (MD; 95 CI (1.22, 3.19), p<0.05), 0.20 (MD; 95 CI (0.00, 0.39); p=0.05) and -2.30 (MD; 95 CI (-3.55, -1.04); p<0.05), respectively.

Conclusion: meta-analysis showed relationship between decreased SpO2, Systolic and Diastolic blood pressure and increased Respiratory rate and Heart rate with mortality in COVID‐19 patients
