Response of Some Yield Characteristics of Sunflower Plant (Helianthus Annus L.) to Combinations of Phosphate Fertilizer and Spraying with Roselle Extract
Abstract
A field trial was carried out during spring season at 2020 at fields of Field Preparatory of Ibn Al - Bitar Vocational-Holy Kerbala governorate by using phosphate fertilizer (Control ,Urea phosphate 60 kg P.ha-1,Urea phosphate 120kg P.ha-1,DAP 60 Kg P.ha-1 , DAP 120 Kg P.ha-1) and spraying with Roselle extract (0, 4 , 8 gm. L-1)on some yield CHARACTERISTICS of sunflower plants (Helianthus annus L.), A Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was used in this study with three replications .The results of this study showed that (UP 120 Kg P. ha-1) treatment led to a significant increase in head diameter (29.37cm) ,seeds Number per head (1444 seed head-1) , Weight of 1000 seeds (78.56g), Seeds yield (5.910 Mg h -1)and percentage of oil in seeds(58.53%).as for the effect of Roselle extract, the concentration(8 gm.L-1) was a significant superior in head diameter (29.91cm), seeds Number per head (1428 seed head-1) , Weight of 1000 seeds (78.86g), Seeds yield (5.943 Mg h -1). the interaction between phosphate combinations and Roselle extract treatments indicates to superior P2 treatment from phosphate combinations with the third concentration (8 gm. L-1 ) from Roselle extract by gave the highest in all trials under study.
