OFDM Interference Challenge to Improve the Bit Error Rate
Abstract
Numerous catastrophic issues have plagued wireless networks throughout their history, from spectrum shortages to data rate sluggishness to synchronisation issues to poor QoS to interference. Even if stronger modulation and multiplexing techniques, such as Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM), can overcome many of the problems listed above, interference obstruction still persists. Inter Symbol Interference (ISI), inter-carrier interference (ICI), and co-channel interference (CCI) all have a significant impact on OFDM's Bit Error Rate (BER), which is why we surveyed them all in the article. In addition, this paper provides an overview of some of the most promising research on interference reduction.In addition, we looked at the wavelet transform, which, when compared to the usual Fourier transform, is highly successful in OFDM systems. ICI and CCI can be reduced by channel coding, thus we developed Space Time Block Code-OFDM (STBC-OFDM) as a solution to lessen the influence of the wireless system.
