Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) and its Application in Dentistry- A Review
Abstract
Low-level laser therapy is used as an adjunct in the various treatment modalities in the field of medicine. Its application in dentistry is slowly, but steadily gaining acceptance. Numerous studies have shown its effect in improved wound healing and tissue repair, accelerating tooth movement in orthodontics and as a tool for treating various dental disorders. This paper provides an overview of the application of low-level laser therapy in the dental field.
