Abstract

This study aims to review the benefits of the software acquisition process in business processes. Evaluating and choosing software packages that meet organizational requirements is a difficult software engineering process. The selection of the wrong software package can turn out to be expensive and affect business processes. Buying commercially available products requires that business organizations adapt to system functionality. Before buying commercially available software, organizations can contract suppliers to create special software packages or develop "off-the-shelf" device applications to reduce the time before definitive treatment can be completed.
