Abstract

The paper focuses on the socio-stylistic analysis of Hill Like White Elephants byErnest Hemingway.The study looks into the variety of vocabulary used to explain the style of the story and how it symbolizes the American man to be the general mentality of all American men. Various patterns are used throughout the piece to establish the context that the research tried to explain. The paper demonstrates that the American man representsmodern U.S. culture. The study also focuses on the clever use of literary devices such as Imagery, Symbolism, Repetition, and Irony. It also shows how the atmosphere help in understanding the context of the story and creates a better understanding of the situation.
