Organizational Culture and Leadership in Relation with Psychological Contract Breach & Fulfilment

An employee is the biggest asset for any organization in the present times. For organizations to thrive it is essential that employees feel valued and align their individual goals with the organizations’ mission. Therefore, leaders’ empowering behaviours and organization’s culture have a huge role to play in the employees’ experiences of their psychological contract breach and/or fulfilment. This study investigates the relationship among empowering leadership, organizational culture and psychological contract breach as well as its’ fulfilment. From the responses gathered from 264 employees working in banking and IT organisations in Delhi-NCR, it was found that indeed leaders’ empowering behaviours as well as the organizational culture have a relation with the psychological contract breach and fulfilment.
