Abstract

This research aims mainly to identify the determinants of adopting solar panel technology in providing energy for the operation of irrigation pumps from the point of view of farmers in Hawija district/ Kirkuk province. It consists of (determinants related to farmers, determinants related to environmental conditions, determinants related to technical parts, determinants related to technical maintenance), and identification of variation in farmers' opinions according to certain personal qualities of (age, possession of means and equipment of production. The research sample included (97) farmers representing (25%) of the total number of farmers in Hawija district / Kirkuk province who adopt solar panels for domestic use, and a two-part questionnaire form was prepared, the first part of which included personal variables for farmers, and the second part included determinants of the adoption of solar panel technology from the point of view of farmers included 41 paragraphs distributed in the areas of research, the first of which included the paragraphs a three-level scale is (large, Medium, few), a preliminary test was conducted on a simple random sample of the research community of (30) adrivered to find the stability and validity factors so the value of the stability factor (0.82), and the value of the validity factor (0.90), the data was collected by interview and after the data was emptied and classified spss and a number of statistical means of data analysis such as (range, repetitive distribution, percentage, average). The results showed that (84%) of the respondents fall into the middle category followed by the high category and thus the level of determinants of adoption of technology is average tends to rise and the order of the areas of research according to the determinants of the level of adoption as follows (determinants related to farmers, determinants related to environmental conditions, determinants related to technical parts, technical maintenance), and the results showed that there are moral differences in the differences in the views of the authors of the limitations of adopting solar panel technology factors according to the factors For most of the factors studied included (age, possession of production methods and equipment , willingness to change, sources of information), while no moral differences appeared in the average size of the determinants related to the technology (depending on the direction).
